YOUNGSTERS at a Bromsgrove school have been learning more about religions around the world.
Pupils at Millfields First School, in Swift Close, took part in faith week which studied and celebrated the beliefs of the various religions.
The whole school took part in the week, with pupils learing about Hinduism, Buddhism, as well as Christianity and Islam.
Children explored the beliefs and practices of these religions then presented their findings at an assembly held at the end of the week.
Baptist minister Paul Lewis dropped in on the school to discuss with key stage two youngsters the importance of prayer in the Christian religion.
The pupils then visited the Islamic Exhibition Centre, in Birmingham, learning more about how Muslims show their faith in their daily lives.
Paul Gibbs, Millfields’ headteacher, said: “Pupils have enjoyed learning about a variety of religions and how they are the same and how they are different.
“We believe it is important that we give the pupils the opportunity to be reflective about beliefs and values to enable them to develop as thoughtful, responsible individuals.”
I am sick and tired of reading about young children having to learn about Islam and dress like the Muslims dress, it is not Christian in any sense of the word, and it's not Christian for young children to be took to the Mosques either. In the Bible in Exodus 20 v 3, says. You will have no other God before me. It goes on to say you will not bow to any other God, and so on, in other words all other's are false gods. Allah is not God, but the God of the bible is the only true God.
So why are children being made to dress up in Muslim clothes and go to visit Mosques. If the teachers told the Muslim kids that they where going to visit a Church, the Muslim parents would be up in arms about it and they would not let their children go. It was only the other day, one school said the children would be classed as racists if they did not go on the school trip to the Mosque, but when the Muslim children are not allowed to go to visit a Church, nothing is said.
Our children are being brainwashed every single day they are at school, and the parents should not allow this to happen, they should also put a stop to the children being made to dress in Muslim attire. If the school insists that it is the school rules, then the parents should take their children out of that school, and put them in a school that does not take the children to Mosques or teach them about Islam.
