A criminal court in the eastern Egyptian town of Bur Saeed gave the two teenagers a reduced sentence of only 15 and 20 years in prison on the grounds that they are minors.
Emirates 24/7 Newspapers in the most populous Arab country said the rime took place in November, when the two abducted the girl, Zainah, to their apartment and took turns in raping her. When she started to scream, they hurled her out of the 11th floor window. The papers identified the two as Mahmoud Mohammed and Ala Hasaballah and a picture of the victim was published in the Saudi daily Sada.
