Maiduguri - Friday, about a day after 10 men were killed in Maiduguri, at least 20 women, some clad in mini-skirts and others in slacks, were slaughtered in their Maiduguri homes and college dormitories.
While members of the Boko Haram terrorist organization are suspected of committing the heinous terrorist acts, police have not confirmed the identities nor arrested any suspects.

Ironically, a curfew imposed by state government insured the women would be home.The women were slaughtered near the University of Maiduguri in facilities where students live off-Campus due to overcrowding.The murders occurred in the Gwange, London Chiki, Abbagara and Kaleri neighborhoods, areas where such killings and bomb blasts are too common.Members of Boko Haram are wanted in connection with terrorist activities in the region that include assassin-like murders, bombings and the killing of religious leaders, traditional rulers, businessmen, politicians, civil servants and security personnel.A statement by NJT listed 19 leaders of the extremist group that are suspected of killing hundreds of people in in northern and central Nigeria.Rewards for the terrorists range from N50 million for the suspected leader of the group, Abubakar Shekau, to N10 million for Boko Haram’s "leaders."
