The Bolton News: Nick Griffin visits Bolton to protest against plans for Farnworth mosqueNick Griffin visits Bolton to protest against plans for Farnworth mosque
NICK Griffin and members of The British National Party held a controversial protest in Victoria Square against plans to build a new mosque in Farnworth.
Around twenty members from the far right nationalist party held the protest in Victoria Square on Saturday afternoon, while a children's event took place.
The demonstrators protested against Bolton Council's decision to approve plans to knock down the existing Sugrha Mosque in Granville Street and build a new one in its place.
They also protested against the wearing of burkas and child grooming.
Their protests were met with fury from some Bolton residents, who backed the council's decision to rebuild the Sughra mosque.
Mr Griffin said: "We are trying to raise awareness of the way the council is pushing through the application for this mosque without full consultation.
"People in Bolton think they are voting for a council which speaks for the working classes, but it gave up on that years ago.
"Bolton people have responded to our campaign very well. They are supportive and open-minded."
BNP activist Bryn Morgan added: "The Sughra mosque looks like something from the Middle East.
"One of Bolton Council's planning officers has even said it will have a drastic impact on the community in terms of parking, lighting and road congestion.
There seems to be a lot of underhand tactics on the council's part that we are highlighting today.
"Bolton Council hasn't consulted with the town's people over the building of this mosque - no one knew anything about it. They should be doing more to publicise it."
Tensions threatened to spill over when one man reacted angrily to the party's protest, which resulted in himself and a BNP supporter being escorted away by police.end
As Mr Griffin and members of the BNP walked back to their bus after the demonstration, they were heckled by Liz Perry, who labelled the party "scum".
Ms Perry, aged 60, of Bradshaw, said: "I came down with a group of friends and we are absolutely disgusted that Nick Griffin has had the nerve to appear in our town.
"We are a multicultural town and for him to come here is appalling. He has no right to protest against what people in Bolton want.
"I want the mosque to be built and I know plenty of other people who do. What's the mosque doing wrong?
"All they are doing is inciting unnecessary racial hatred."
The press never miss an opertunity to lie, do they. They just had to  to add a comment  from a woman called Miss Perry, who had come in to town with a group of friends, and OH how disgusted she was to see Nick Griffin and the British National Party in the town center. And the press also had to say that Ms Perry want's the Mosque to be built. Why is that Ms Perry, is it because the Mosque is in Farnworth, and you live in Bradshaw (very posh part of Bolton) no where near the Mosque.

This is what really happened. A large crowed of shoppers gathered round to listen to Nick Griffin talk, and the shoppers were clapping and cheering at the things Nick was saying. People were coming up to Nick for a chat, and some wanted his autograph.
The police were very friendly towards the British National Party ( We have it all on  film)and the Bolton Organiser was talking to one of the policemen for a good while, she said that he listened to what she was telling him, and he fully understood. While the Bolton organsier was talking to the police constable, a loud mouthed middle aged man Was shouting and causing a disturbance, and the police constable, told him to be quite and he moved him on.
No one know knows where this Ms Perry came from, because she wasn't seen by anyone who was there, the press always have to come out with talking bollocks, they can't help but put a dampner on the good things that were said by Nick Griffin. The crowd were very supportive of the BNP, and out of the large crowed that gathered, there was just one moron, just the one.
Our Bolton organiser got talking to a group of Goths in the town center ( She will talk to anyone. Lol) It seems they are sick and tired of Labour telling nothing but lies, and most of them are students, and they are fed up, that it's the immigrants that get all the help, while they have to take a back seat. One said he feels like a stranger in his own town, by the time she had finished talking to them, they all said they would be voting for the British National Party, providing their is a BNP candidate standing in their area.

Bolton is run by a Labour council, and they are scared stiff of the British National Party. It is obvious the Bolton Press is also on the side of the Labour party. Judging by the amount of people that were cheering for the BNP, it makes you wonder just how many people of Bolton  do actually vote for the BNP, it also makes you wonder just how many voting papers disappear at the count with a X next to the BNP candidates. Our time will come.
